
The international seminar on ride-hailing services in Southeast Asia
The international seminar on ride-hailing services in Southeast Asia was held on 24 March 2021, hosted by the University of Tokyo. This international seminar was arranged to report the research outputs and achievement of “Impacts of Disruptive Mobile Ride Hailing Applications on Society in Southeastern Asian Countries” project which is a collaboration of researchers in International Research Group (IRG) in Eastern Asia Society for Transportation Studies (EASTS).
Associate professor Dr. Saksith Chalermpong, deputy director of CUTI, presented the output of his comprehensive literature review regarding ride-hailing application study in Southeast Asia. Together with Dr. Phathinan Thaithatkul, a researcher of CUTI, presented her research output regarding the ride-hailing service adoption in Bangkok, Thailand. Additionally, researches on ride-hailing service adoption in Hanoi, Vietnam and Manila, the Philippines were also presented by Dr.Nguyen Hoang-Tung and Professor Alexis Fillone, researchers from our international research partnerships.
